The YTAA (Young Talent Architecture Award) supports young architecture graduates entering the professional world who will be responsible for shaping our environment in the future.
YTAA originated from an interest in the early stages of development of young people, primarily aiming to support their talents. Projects in the competition are recognized for their authenticity, innovative character, and a sustainable approach to change. The jury, consisting of curator N'Goné Fall, architect Manuel Henriques, Professor Jennifer Mack, architect Simone Sfriso, and architect Snežana Vesnić, awarded a total of 38 diploma projects defended between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2022.
The diploma thesis "Przestrzeń pamięci – pamięć przestrzeni. Miejsce pamięci w byłym niemieckim nazistowskim obozie koncentracyjnym i zagłady Gross-Rosen w Rogoźnicy" (Space of Memory - Memory of Space. Memorial in the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Gross-Rosen in Rogoźnica) was shortlisted for this year's EU Mies Award competition, presenting itself at the La Biennale Architettura exhibition in Venice.
